Lake of Pilato is the unique freshwater surface of the Apennine Mountains
with glacial origins. It presents spectacularly situated in a small ravine
framed by the peaks of the mounts Sibillini and dominated by impassable
cliffs of Pizzo del Diavolo and of Gran Gerdarme.
