Simone Simoncello Natural Park was founded in 1996 and extends over 4847
hectares altogether in the heart of the ancient Montefeltro. The hill
landscape is covered with thick vegetation interrupted by bristly cliffs
and rock spurs where fortress were built against the enemy. It is an area
rich in castles, fortresses, churches, convents and parish churches as
well. |
