| Returning to the heights rising above the abbey of San Tommaso in Foglia we come to Sant’Angelo in Lizzola, a town originating in the year 1000 when two castles were combined. In 1584 it was made a countship and given as a feud to the family of the celebrated Terenzio Mamiani.
