It is a very interesting
centre for its waters containing sodium iodine, sodium chlorine, bromine
and sulphide, as well as for its climatic characteristics. Blessed
Giovanni da Penna, a follower of San Fratesco, was born here. He was
mentioned in the “Fioretti” by storiographer Giovanni Colucci
(18th century). Painter Mario Nuzi, known as Mario dei Fiori,
was also born here (17th century).
