Morrovalle
is situated on the top of a hill in almost untouched environment. The
village preserves interesting artistic and historic testimonies that
remind of its rich past.
According to a legend, Charlemagne, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire,
founded it. In the 12th century, the small centre was enlarged
by Guarnerio, duke of Spoleto, and transformed, in a brief period of time,
in a place where sojourned artists and poets.
