The bed and breakfast is situated in a historic palace affording all comforts and stands out for its well tended furniture and colours.  It includes the small details which go towards making a guest feel really at home: books, photos, maps of the territory, music, chocolates, the traditional wine known as ‘vino cotto’.

Every suite is independent, with its own entrance. All have been converted from the old chambers of the palace, following restoration lasting ten years under the surveillance of the Belle Arti, without losing their original characteristics.

The stables, the woodshed, the barn, the pantry, the laundry room, the apple barn, the archive: all the suites of the B&B overlook one or the other of the most beautiful courtyards of the palace or the old vegetable garden within the town walls. 

The striped materials used to cover the antique mattresses, the restored antique furniture, the insides of the wardrobes lined with material, the floors of terracotta, the bathrooms painted blue or mauve will greet you with the same harmony as that of a painter’s pallet.

The stables and the woodshed overlook a large brick floor courtyard with three large potted lemon trees, the ideal place for open-air relaxing, reading or eating. 

Access to the courtyard is through a tiny alley paved with river cobbles; typical of the small Marchigiano towns.

The stables has two single beds, a sky blue bathroom, a sitting room and a kitchen converted from the old mangers.

The woodshed (next to the stables, but with a separate entrance) has a very large double bed, with the possibility of adding a single bed, a bathroom with arch and bathtub. 

All the suites are en-suite and have a sitting room, TV and fridge. All have independent access, central heating, and a small kitchen at your disposal.

The barn and the pantry instead are two suites overlooking the old vegetable garden surrounded by the town walls.

The barn is a large area containing a corner dining room, a small kitchen overlooking the alleyway, a large and romantic gallery with a double bed and view through the capriate, bathroom in peach with bath and the possibility to add two extra beds in a small room, bedspreads with rose pattern and a wardrobe painted to match the antique doors. 

The antique furniture, the waxed sideboards, the large bottles turned into lamps, the original terracotta floors, the view over the garden and the possibility of eating out make this suite a perfect oasis of peace.

The pantry has a large eighteenth century arched kitchen painted blue, the possibility of eating outdoors under an old wooden pergola. 

There are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two small beds), but there is also a gallery with an extra bed and a long bookshelf for browsing. 

There are two bathrooms converted from old rooms, with terracotta floors and painted walls. 

The doors are painted with colours in keeping with the tradition of combining ‘cold’ and ‘warm’ colours, ivory and two shades of grey, colours which are the theme of all the doors throughout the B&B.
