The owner's farm produces particular local cheeses like the "casciotta", which the guests are invited to taste.

The area is known for its many sulphuric springs. The area also offers various recreational possibilites: mountain biking, down hill skiing, trekking, hunting and fishing.

The White Truffle Fair and market takes place in Apecchio at the beginning of October, an important event which offers interesting week-ends to those who attend. 

The White Truffle is abundant in the area during the truffle seasons. For those who want to experience the thrill of finding the fragrant tubers, the owner of the Chignoni complex is available to take guests truffle hunting, individually or in small groups, in the wooded areas surrounding the complex with the help of his well-trained dogs.

In the winter months, with the first snowfalls in these typical Apennine zones, guests can go cross-country skiing in the surrounding areas, while alpine skiers will enjoy downhill skiing on the runs of the nearby Mt. Nerone.

There are expert guides available to take guests into the picturesque grottoes of this mountain with characteristic underground lakes.

A variety of possibilities for an ideal vacation in natural landscapes and many thrilling experiences which recall the simple country life of yesteryear await the guest.

Montalto (sleeps 6)
Exterior stairway and entrance into a large room with fireplace, kitchen, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

La Gorgaccia (sleeps 6)
Exterior stairway and entrance into a large multipurpose room with kitchen area, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The ground floor of the complex has a large hall for small conferences or parties.

The complex has a large garden area with barbecue and an inviting swimming pool. To complete the picture, 200 hectares of biologically cultivated fields, pastures, and woods.
