De Magistris in Le Marche”

“Simone
De Magistris, a visionary painter between Lotto and El Greco” Arts show
has been visited by a large audience in its 2007 edition.
The revived interest in the painter has brought about the discovery of
other works either by him or by some of his followers.
Many are also the paintings that have experienced a renewed interest from
the audience in the Count reformed Maneristic artistic stream.
As a follow up of the discoveries propelled by the recent exhibition a new
one “Discoveries about De Magistris in Le
Marche” by Vittorio Sgarbi opened on 20th March .
It is set in Palazzo Cardianali Pallotta,
an architecture jewel of the late 1500.
A
group of 30 works are on show. Some of them are less known and some are at
their first exhibition.
Among the new found ones the altar piece by Paolo Piazza in Collegiata in
Cupramontana and a lot of more of so far unknown pieces of Arts among
which feature some of Lorenzo Lotto’s works are to be seen.
For
the first time ever Simone De Magistris can be seen as a sculptor.
His first Madonna and Child, discovered in San Francesco Church in Force,
after a long restoration will finally be on show.
You
will also be taken on a virtual tour of the chapel of Macereto Sanctuary
in Visso, Macerata.
It is a unique expression of the eclectic De Magistris.
The
Palace also offers the chance of enriching the visit with the marvellous
Stanza del Paradiso.
It was wanted by the Cardinal Evangelista Pallotta.
Several hunting scenes are depicted in that that was once a studio, now
the treasure of the entire palace.
Once out walk to the Pallotta Castle, recently restored and opened to the
public.
It is one of the unique places in Italy still furnished.
The magic of the place wraps the entire surroundings.
The rolling Le Marche hills, the medieval hamlets that surround Caldarola
and the numberless examples of arts and culture together with a stunning
natural setting welcome tourist in a unforgettable experience.
