The beach 
of  Falconara Marittima

Nobility from Ancona, Jesi, Umbria and Rome used to spend delightful summers along the Falconara golden sea side. 

Elegant huts provided shelter for changing. Augusto Bedetti built a platform of the sea for leisure activity (1929),

Falconara so became a most renown sea resort. It attracted people from the Italian big cities.

Nowadays the beach has most changed its outlook. The qualities that made it once renown has remained the same though. 26 beach premises stretch along the coastline. 

They offer all kind of comforts and facilities to practice maritime sports to the guests. Windsurf, Beach Volley, Beach soccer, Aquagym, Aerobic, Basket and Hydrobike courses are held every day.  

A lot of events are organized in the daytime on the beach. Falconara has become the ideal place for spending a quiet and enjoyable summer thanks to the organization of the City Council and of the beach operators.

June is the month in which the difference with the winter is best felt. The events organized multiply and special menu dinners are held especially for the younger. 

Adults have the chance of choosing among different theme evenings organized every night. A lot of people ready to enjoy themselves are attracted to participate.

The area boasts a wide range of good restaurants. The menu are mainly based on pizza or fish. The prices depend on the place, but there are solutions for every budget.

“Festa del Mare” is maybe the most longed for event of the summer nights. Games, lights colours and music animate the beach by night. Music bands, cabaret shows, dancing, gastronomic stands and a huge dancing platform on the sea side complete the picture. 

The mid-august holiday, closing night of the event, fascinates people with a beautiful fire- work show.
