Casa Torleone is situated in the center of the medieval village of Serra San Quirico, with a panoramic view over the valley below.
A period tower house with fine architectural features, Casa Torleone has been recently restored and is immediately habitable.
All its wooden beams ceilings have undergone restoration, as have all the utilities and the bathroom with shower, from which a balcony opens up overlooking the valley
The house offers circa 75 sqm living space distributed over three levels - ground floor, first floor and second floor- with 6 rooms. The property includes a long cellar which is located underneath the house. The access to the cellar is through an external door from under the ancient arch to the right of the house (see photo).
Internal stairs connect the three levels. Above the stairs and in some of the rooms, fine arches and cross vaulted ceilings add richness and movement to the architecture of the place (see photos).
Casa Torleone's main entrance is on the street, near the head office of the Teatro Giovani (Youth Theatre Association) and the Church of San Francesco, at number 17.
On the ground floor of the tower house is the living room with fireplace, ceramic sink and kitchen wall, with all the connections for furniture and appliances.
Between the ground floor and the first floor is the bathroom with recently installed shower, washbasin, wc and bidet distributed in a large space. The bath enjoys the presence of a balcony, useful for drying laundry.
On the first floor is a central room with wood-beamed ceiling. To the left of this room, two steps lead into one of the bedrooms, where the wooden beams have been covered with a white ceiling. To the right, there is a second bedroom with the same features.
On the second Floor is a spacious studio loft. The ceiling features wooden beams and vaults. To the right is a low square-shaped wall. From this area one can see the attic that allows access to the roof.
The panoramic view from the rooms and the bathroom is to the east, over the valley.
The living room with fireplace has a view over the street. The view from the second floor is also over the street.
There is central heating and radiators in all the rooms. Currently, the system installed is diesel, with the possibility of conversion to methane.
Casa Torleone does not have its own court. However, it is possible to ask the Technical Department of the Municipality of Serra San Quirico for permission of use of the green terraced area below as an outdoor space, for gardening or a vegetable garden (see photo with view from the balcony).
Casa Torleone is for sale at €58,000.
